Beaver's Pond Press Author Testimonials

A Farm Country Christmas Eve Book CoverThe people at Beaver’s Pond Press are friendly, helpful and professional. They know that it is important for them to listen to what I need as well as give me advice on what I should do. They provide illustrators, editors and designers that are easy to work with and extremely effective.  We were able to get my first book illustrated, edited and ready for the printer in a very short time.

When my book was being sent to the printer, I had confidence that the finished product would be the very best it could be because I knew the people at Beaver’s Pond Press had provided the professional help I needed every step of the way. The best proof of good service anyone can offer is to repeat the service, and this year I plan to publish two more books with Beaver’s Pond Press.

Tennis in the Northland Book CoverI highly recommend Beaver's Pond Press to anyone who has always wanted to write a book but was concerned that finding a publisher might be difficult if not impossible.  As I looked around for a way to get my book in print, I also discovered that the so-called vanity presses were really not concerned about anything except making a profit.  So I turned to Beaver's Pond Press and found that it was just what I wanted: friendly and personal service from everyone on the staff, excellent editing help, a terrific designer, free marketing advice, and a very fine printing service.  From my first meeting with Milt Adams to the time I held the book in my hand, the staff patiently answered my questions and cooperated with me every step of the way.

The Sick Bug Book CoverWhen I embarked on the process of publishing, I sent my manuscript for “The Sick Bug” to a handful of well-known national publishers that advertised they would consider authors without an agent or prior book successes.  However, I didn’t want to wait the minimum 3 to 6 to 9 months they take to respond.  When it came right down to it, I liked that Beaver's Pond was local and I had a lot of face time with the staff to learn the entire publishing process.  More importantly, I had a clear idea of what the illustrations for the book should look like and I knew exactly the tone and type of images that could bring the words to life on each page.  I knew what it would take to knock it out of the park, so to speak, and I didn’t want to hand that responsibility over to someone else.

All in all, it has worked out great and I would have never been able to create “The Sick Bug” in the form it is today without the assistance and guidance from Beaver's Pond.  I get comments all the time about how professional the book is, and not what people picture when they hear “self-published.”

BasketCases Book CoverSelecting Beaver's Pond Press as a publishing partner was a great choice
for this first-time author. Beaver's Pond Press allowed me to retain
control of the content, which was extremely important to me. They also
helped expedite the publishing process to meet a tight deadline so my book
could be released prior to the basketball season. Their copy editor was
phenomenal. I am tremendously proud of "BasketCases," both in terms of
content and appearance. My thanks to Beaver's Pond Press for making the
publishing experience enjoyable, not stressful.
